The Lenovo ThinkSystem Mellanox ConnectX-6 Dx 100GbE QSFP56 2-port PCIe Ethernet Adapter (4XC7A08248) is Lenovo's validated version of the NVIDIA ConnectX-6 Dx SmartNIC (NVIDIA equivalent MCX623106AS-CDAT). It provides two QSFP56 cages and a PCIe 4.0 x16 host interface for 100 Gb Ethernet in ThinkSystem servers.
The card supports Ethernet speeds from 10 Gb up to 100 Gb per port, including 25 Gb and 50 Gb modes with all FEC options. It is built for cloud, virtualisation, software-defined networking, storage and machine-learning traffic.
• ASAP2 offload of vSwitch and vRouter data planes, with connection tracking and header rewrite • SR-IOV with 1K virtual functions per port, plus VirtIO in hardware • RoCE including Zero-Touch RoCE, and NVMe-oF target and initiator offloads • VXLAN, NVGRE and GENEVE encapsulation offload • Hardware root of trust for secure boot and signed firmware updates
This version does not include inline IPsec/TLS or AES-XTS crypto offload. Low-profile and full-height brackets are included, and the adapter inherits the server's base warranty when installed in a Lenovo server.
