The Brocade G710 brings Gen 7 Fibre Channel to rack-level and mid-sized SANs in a 1U chassis. This listing is the 8-port base unit in a 32G configuration; two 8-port Ports on Demand licenses raise it to 24 ports, and every port can run at up to 64G with the appropriate optics.

• Auto-sensing 8, 16, 32 and 64G ports • 1.536 Tb/s aggregate bandwidth and 460 ns local switching latency • ISL trunks of up to eight ports and 512 Gb/s • Traffic Optimizer, Fabric Vision, IO Insight and VM Insight for monitoring

Security features include Secure Boot, role-based access control, LDAP, RADIUS and TACACS+. The switch uses one fixed power supply with four fans, back-to-front airflow, and weighs 4.24 kg without transceivers.

Broadcom lists a lifetime warranty for G710 switches sold with that coverage, valid until the announced end-of-support date.
