The IBM FlashSystem 5600 is IBM's entry end-to-end NVMe all-flash array, launched in 2026 as the successor to the FlashSystem 5300. Controllers and up to 12 NVMe flash modules share a single 1U enclosure.

FlashCore Modules compress and encrypt data in hardware, and the system adds deduplication, policy-based replication and high availability. IBM also states that the FCM5 modules watch every I/O to help detect ransomware-like anomalies. The enclosure scales to about 2.4 PB effective with more modules, with up to 30 GB/s bandwidth.
