The HPE Aruba Networking J9283D is a 3-metre direct-attach copper cable with SFP+ connectors at both ends, used to create 10 Gigabit links between selected HPE Aruba Networking switches, or between a switch and a server NIC, without separate transceivers.
It is a common choice for wiring-closet and data-centre uplinks where the two devices sit in the same or an adjacent rack. HPE covers it with a limited lifetime warranty with next-business-day advance replacement.
