The Dell 470-ABPS is a two-metre passive twinax cable with SFP+ connectors on both ends, made for 10 Gigabit Ethernet between Dell PowerEdge servers and Dell switches. Two metres is a practical length for running from a top-of-rack switch to servers lower in the same cabinet.
Passive copper keeps costs and power draw down compared with SFP+ optics plus fibre, and the cable is qualified across a long list of Dell systems, from older PowerEdge 14th-generation servers to current PowerSwitch models.
