The MegaRAID 9560-8i is a low-profile PCIe 4.0 x8 RAID controller built on the SAS3908 RAID-on-Chip. Its Tri-Mode ports let one card run 12Gb/s SAS, 6Gb/s SATA or PCIe Gen 4 NVMe drives, so the same server bays can mix spinning disks and flash.
• 8 internal lanes on one x8 SFF-8654 (SlimSAS) connector • 4GB onboard cache with optional CacheVault CVPM05 flash backup • RAID 0, 00, 1, 10, 5, 50, 6 and 60, plus JBOD • Up to 240 SAS/SATA or 32 NVMe devices per controller • Hardware Secure Boot and SafeStore SED key management
Management is handled through LSI Storage Authority, StorCLI or the UEFI HII menu, with drivers for Windows, VMware ESXi and major Linux distributions. Typical power draw is about 9.6 W.
